Who we are

Sean McKeon

Founder of LAX in L.A. and faculty advisor. Sean is also the New Media teacher at Manual Arts. He has coached at the high school level and started the lacrosse team at his high school in 1993. He is currently the boys' high school coaches' representitive for the Greater Los Angeles chapter of US Lacrosse, the sport's national governing body. Sean played collegiately for the University of Arizona.

Kate Marks

Kate is the Vice-President of LAX in L.A., and the girls head coach at Huntington Park High School after spending last year coaching the Manual Arts girls. Kate played Division 1 Lacrosse at American University in Washington D.C. and coached in New York for 4 years before moving to Los Angeles. She is currently a counselor at Huntington Park High School and was instrumental in starting the boys team there as well.

Katie Rainge

Katie is the Secretary of LAX in L.A., and is now the girls head coach at Manual Arts High School. Katie played collegiately at Trinity College in Washington D.C. and now teaches social studies at Manual Arts High School.

Brian Conry

Brian is the Treasurer of LAX in L.A., and the boys assistant coach at Huntington Park High School. Brian graduated from Merrimack College and plays for Hollywood Lacrosse Club. He currently works for A.I.G. and after practice is over, he rushes back to work!

Tim Rossi

Tim is an "at-large" member of LAX in L.A. as well as the VP of the LA Chapter of US Lacrosse. Growing up on Long Island, NY, Tim has played competitively throughout high school, college and currently is the goalie for the Hollywood Lacrosse Club. His involvement with lacrosse in the Greater LA area includes officiating for HS, college and post-collegiate club teams. Tim also provides specialized training for goalies.

John Crowther

John is the boys coach at Huntington Park High School. John is a veteran lacrosse coach, dating back to...well...the dawn of time. John played at Princeton University in New Jersey and coached at Loyola High School before H.P was lucky enough to grab him. When John is not coaching, he is working on his craft of cartooning.

Daniel Heimpel

Dan is the boys assistant coach at Manual Arts and LAX in L.A. board member. Dan is completing his Masters Program at USC's Annenberg school of Journalism. He was drawn to the Manual Arts program as a journalist, writing a story about the boys program. Through his reporting he realized that he wanted to be a part of it. He volunteers what time he can, between freelancing and classes. Dan played at UCSB and coached in Berkeley, CA.
